Visit to the Planetarium

In connection with the Keystage 1 topic Up, Up and Away the children enjoyed two exciting trips. The first was to the training aircraft at Chichester College where they could experience what it would be like to sit in an aeroplane. On board the children listened to the safety announcement, ate their snack and then exited the aircraft in an orderly manner. Even though the children did not leave the ground they loved the experience.

Their second trip was to the Planetarium where the children found out about the planets in our solar system and the International Space Station. The children found it fascinating finding out about Tim Peake, our local hero, who spent six months working on the space station from December 2015 to June 2016.
