Bike It! Scooter and Bike Training

A representative from Sustrans, a charity that enables people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of our everyday journeys, called at school to help us with scooter training. The initiative "Bike It" enabled children to bring either their bikes or scooters to school and receive advice on how to ride properly with consideration to others and how to keep themselves safe and what equipment they should use.
There were prizes each day for two lucky cyclists/scooter riders. The charity donated eight brand new scooters, with helmets, to school for loan to children who do not have scooters of their own. The event concluded with a breakfast in the school grounds; luckily the weather was fine allowing everyone to have a lovely time!
