Together with help from, Natasha Turner the School Services Officer from the Weald and Downland Museum, some of our Year 2 children enjoyed two mornings on West Wittering beach. Using the natural materials found on the beach they made a home for a hermit crab and built a den. They learnt about waterproof materials, the different types of seaweed and water creatures found in our sea and on our shores. On their second session the highlight was collecting driftwood, making a fire and toasting marshmallows. Most importantly the experience of Beach Schools enhanced their team building skills. beach huts
